Minutes of CAFA Executive Meeting
June 29, 2011
9:14pm call to order
Attending: Kevin Sorensen, Eugene Lim, Andrew Hogan
Outstanding Old Business
- Jill- organise shirts (picture with Kelly, sizes etc…)
- Jill – to delegate records writing of eric and Kelly to Mandy. (email by May 26)
- Jill find basic info and maybe a nice picture
- Record page updates : eric Fattah 3 constant weights, Kelly static
- Jill will email eric and Kelly for picture and bio
- Kevin – will send FTP info to Andrew. (June 1st) – will setup ftp account with login and pwd within a couple of days.
- Andrew - Constant contact June 20th newsletter (TBD within a week)
Old Business
- Eugene – add benefits info for join/renew page. done
- Eugene- add members and dive sites to map and send to Kevin. done
- Andrew- set up cafa vimeo page and send embedded video links to Kevin…(June 1st) done
- Andrew – send Tom email about medals/prizes for June competition (May 26th) done
- Andrew – send email to judges to get them to volunteer for June competition. (ask tom about 26th) done
- Andrew – to send competition email notice to all CAFA members thru constant contact. (May 26th) done
New business
- It is to be noted that uncompleted tasks should be delegated to Andrew before next board meeting to give him a chance to complete the task
- Reassign Jill's tasks of photos of shirts to Andrew; will send photos to Kevin. To be done by June 29th.
- Kevin added options for shirts for renewal page. Just waiting on cost and colors to offer. Only a subset, T-shirts will be offered for renewals. Price of shirts to be at cost for renewal numbers.
- Andrew to find out cost of shirts and also shipping rates and 3rd party shipping rates
- Our host provider made some server configuration changes that broke form and database scripts on our site. Changes were to take down a phishing attack site reported by Google to be affecting the host providers servers including freedivecanada.com. Kevin will work with provider to get our scripts back up and running. Kevin will then contact google to delist freedivecanada as a potential phishing attack site.
- Andrew proposes to query members about interest in a 60-m depth competition in August. All agree.
- Andrew: Add depth competition query into newsletter
- Andew: Find out about Seadragon availability
- Kevin: in light of aug comp, push the nationwide comp idea out, possibly as an idea for the next board.
