Mandy is shown taking the tilt test. The aim is to measure her body’s autonomic response to changes in blood pressure. She is left lying on her back until she is very relaxed and suddenly the bed is tilted to the vertical position. Attached to Mandy are several non-invasive instruments to measure breathing, pulse, blood pressure and cerebral blood flow.
