Environment Committee Report
This has been a very low key year for the Environment ‘Committee’. No committee members were recruited and no meetings were held. Despite CAFA’s minimal influence, participation in the Lingcod Egg Mass Survey was up from last year.
CAFA members participated in one environmental projects in the 2002/2003 year:
Lingcod Egg Mass Survey
This event is organized annually by the Vancouver Aquarium. Six freedivers helped to participate in the survey:
- Tom Lightfoot
- Peter Pazdera
- Greg Hamilton
- Luc Gosselin
- Greg Fee
- Lukas Ircha
Three survey dives were done in a freediving mode:
- Whytecliff Express
- Ansell Place
- Porteau Cove
Underwater Cleanups
There were no underwater cleanups this year. The Underwater Council of BC usually organizes these events but did not organize anything this year.
