The following is an example of a depth tag that can be used in competition.
Materials
- Weight belt webbing
- Clothes Pins
- Zip ties (small and large sizes)
- Optional – Surgical Tubing
- Permanent black felt marker
What to do
- Cut 6 inch strips of brightly coloured weight belt webbing (yellow, pink, white, etc).
- Make a hole at one end of the webbing where the clothes pins will be connected.
- Attach clothes pins with two small zip ties. Put the zip ties on both sides of the clothes pin to keep it straight.
- On one side of the tag print the following:
- First and last name of competitor on the left hand side
- The type of competition and the date on the right hand side
- On the other side of the tag print the following:
- The depth in meters in large print on the left hand side
- The number of the diver on the right hand side
